Interest Fair

The annual Suamico Interest Fair is coming up! It will take place on Tuesday, March 12th from 6-7 pm. All entries are due by January 25th.

Non-Fiction Books

In writing, the 2nd graders have been working hard to finish up their non-fiction books. They chose topics, researched and wrote all about their topics. Their books will all include various text features such as a table of contents, a glossary, or a diagram. When the second graders finish their books, they will take pictures and put them into Book Creator and then smash them into Seesaw for you all to enjoy. :)

Scholastic Code

Our Scholastic book orders are due next Friday, January 19th. Our code for ordering is H2PHV. Online, I noticed that they have a great deal going on for families. If your order reaches $25 or more, be sure to use the code READS and get an additional $5 book:

Updates and Reminders

Hello! Here are a few updates and reminders for upcoming happenings in our classroom and at our school:

*Instruments for our sound unit are due by Monday, January 14th. A letter was sent home about this last week. Please let me know if you need an additional copy. Thanks!

* We will be doing our MAPS Winter testing next Tuesday, January 15th and Wednesday, January 16th. Please make sure your child gets a good night's sleep the nights before testing and a good breakfast the morning of! :)

*2nd Quarter ends Thursday, January 17th.

*There is no school on Friday, January 18th.

*Scholastic orders are due on Friday, January 18th

*There is no school on Friday, February 1st. The Sweetheart Auction will take place at school that night. We hope to see you there!
