To help build our classroom community, the third graders have been busy working on different teamwork challenges. One day, they had to work with a small group to build a chain out of a single piece of paper. The extra challenge was that they were only allowed to use glue sticks (no scissors, tape or stappler) and they couldn't talk throughout the process. I loved watching them work together and use their gestures to try and figure out how to make their chain work!
Another challenge that the third graders had was to work with one or two partners to try and "Save Fred." Once again, I loved watching the kiddos work together to try and solve this problem.
Here were their directions:
SUCCESS!!
