The third graders in our classroom have been busy learning about how to write a "small moment." We started with thinking about a person that we have a lot of memories with. It could have been a mom, a dad, a brother or sister, a best friend or even a grandma or grandpa. The third graders made a list of memories that they could have written about involving that one person. Next, they thought about different places that they have a lot of memories. Some of the kiddos wrote about a camp that they went to or a backyard that they love to spend a lot of time in. These lists were helpful when they were trying to think about a small moment to write about. They are off to a great start!
